We process semi-refined, fully refined and concentrated fish oils in our refinery located in Supe. This refinery has a storage area for the raw material (crude fish oil); production buildings that house the refining and molecular distillation equipment; warehouses for supplies, packing material and finished products; a laboratory; and an administrative area.
This plant is HACCP & GMP, IFFO RS Chain of Custody, and ISO 9001 certified and is approved and registered on the official lists of the European Union, China and Brazil, among others. It is also compliant with the latest FDA Food Safety Modernization Act requirements.
We also have an in-house laboratory, equipped for the full analysis of crude fish oils as well as finished products, thus guaranteeing quality control from the reception of the raw material to the delivery of the finished product.
EOur port terminal is located in Chimbote, one of main Peruvian fishing ports. Our nine tanks for the bulk storage of crude fish oil have a total capacity of 16,000 MT.
Its multi-buoy berth, located 2,000 meters from the shore, has 10.20-meter depth, which enables the reception of ships with up to 40,000-metric tons cargo capacity. It has as an official customs warehouse, authorized by the national customs authority, from which COLPEX and other local producers load and export crude fish oil in bulk. This facility also houses our fleet of tank trucks used for ground transport.
Like Supe, our Chimbote port terminal has an in-house laboratory that is equipped for the full range of crude fish oil analysis, thus guaranteeing a strict control of the raw material sourced.
Our port terminal is GMP + Feed Safety Assurance, IFFO RS Chain of Custody, and ISO 9001 certified.
